SpaceIL featured in WIRED Magazine

An interview with SpaceIL Co-Founder Yariv Bash for WIRED Magazine

“The three Israeli engineers who founded SpaceIL originally connected on Facebook, sketched craft designs in a bar… and registered for the contest the day before it closed. Now, 30 full-time staff are working on what they hope will be the first Israeli spacecraft on the Moon.”

“The hope, Bash says, is to kick off an “Apollo effect” and inspire Israel’s next generation of scientists and engineers, as Nasa did in the 60s and 70s.”

“Every school presentation ends with a challenge, Bash says: once the SpaceIL lander wins the competition, “their mission is to build the next spaceship that will go to the Moon and bring our spaceship back to Earth…”
